There are many live issues for the recruitment industry at the moment, some of which are likely to cause a drag on growth. For example, the application of guaranteed hours rules to all agency workers, rather than just those who need the protection, is a spoke in the works for employers who often rely on temporary recruitment to grow their businesses in difficult times. More admin and more risk cannot help business. We would urge Mr Reynolds to concentrate on what is necessary for growth, business success and support for younger people into work as top priority.”
