Free webinar: July 2017 – Modern Slavery compliance  – think your agency’s exempt, think again!

Date: 11th July 2017 Location: Webinar: Tuesday 3pm – 3:30pm

From April 2016 all businesses with an annual turnover above £36m are obliged by the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (MSA) to publish Slavery and Human Trafficking statements (SHTs), setting out the steps that they have taken to combat modern slavery within their businesses and supply chains (including the recruitment agencies they use).

As a result, all recruitment agencies will find themselves under increasing scrutiny from larger hirers, who need to demonstrate the steps that they have taken to minimise the risk of modern slavery occurring in their supply chain.

Lawspeed’s latest interactive webinar will explore issues including:

  • What the legislation says
  • Why even smaller businesses should not be complacent
  • Why a SHT is important
  • Consequences of failing to publish a SHT
  • Expected changes to legislation

“We were highly impressed by Lawspeed’s support in a complex fee dispute case they handled for us in 2015, where the outcome was a resounding 100% success”.
