The Association of Recruitment Consultancies (ARC) has thrown its weight behind a global campaign to save thousands of lives and cut deaths from malaria by half.
ARC has teamed up with Malaria No More UK and will donate all profits from its annual Summer Social in May to the charity.
The trade membership organisation representing recruitment businesses is also promoting the valuable work done by Malaria No More and the various campaigns the charity runs.
Malaria is one of the greatest causes of poverty in Africa and yet, it is also one of the cheapest to defeat. It costs less than the price of a cup of coffee to treat a child and save their life.
Malaria No More UK is inviting people to join a global challenge that tackles the causes of poverty head on. Live Below the Line challenges you to live on £1 a day for all food and drink for 5 days from 29 April to 3 May.
Fundraising Manager at Malaria No More UK, Helen Mabberley said: “As well as feeding in to your company’s Corporate Social Responsibility goals, the challenge can be undertaken during the normal working day and is a great team builder.”
There is a special website where staff can sign up, get recipe ideas, record their progress though blogs and photos, form teams with colleagues, and even track how much has been raised by your company.
ARC will hold its annual Summer Social on the riverside terrace at the House of Commons on 21st May and ARC members will be contributing to the charity when they buy a ticket for the event. For more information visit the ARC website.
