Subject: IR35 – what can be learned from the public sector IR35 roll out, to get ready for 2020?
Objective: Early preparation for the extension of IR35 public sector rules to the private sector in April 2020.
Areas to be covered: Explanation of how the public sector rules work, and lessons learned.
In the last budget the Chancellor announced that the controversial public sector IR35 rules will be extended to include the private sector from April 2020. Agencies likely to be affected are those currently servicing private sector hirers by supplying PSC contractors, many of whom may be currently regarded as outside IR35. The changes to the rules will impact on process, risk, liability, charging structures and profitability, so how to start dealing with the planned change?
This presentation by experts on IR35 and agency contract business will consider:
- the public sector rules.
- IR35 tests.
- the HMRC online CEST tool, and
- relevant case studies.
You will learn about how it works, the factors necessary to consider for policy decisions, and some ideas on strategy, so permitting an early assessment of steps to take.
To be presented by our retained legal services provider Lawspeed, the UK’s leading law consultancy dedicated to the recruitment and staffing industry.
